Best Upgrade Order

PriorityUpgradeWhy
1Throwing RangeLure IT from farther away, so you are never close to the splash.
2Pebble SkippingOne pebble makes more decoy splashes — huge in the valve room.
3Flare Radius (after 450 Flare unlock)The flare is the best tool when IT charges. A wider zone saves panic moments.
4Rescue Speed / Rope ReachOnly for squads. Solo players can skip both.
5Toy BatteryNice for toy users, lowest priority for most.

Solo vs Squad Upgrade Builds

Solo build

Throwing Range → Pebble Skipping → Flare unlock → Flare Radius. Everything goes into decoys and escape tools.

Squad build

Throwing Range → Rescue Rope unlock → Rescue Speed → Rope Reach. You become the team medic.

Hard mode build

Max Throwing Range and Pebble Skipping before attempting Hard. Tight jumps leave no room for bad lures.

Max Upgrade Passes (Robux)

Each upgrade has a Max pass for R$150 that sets it to level 3/3 forever: Max Throwing Range, Max Pebble Skipping, Max Rescue Speed, Max Rope Reach, Max Flare Radius and Max Toy Battery. If you play every day, coins get you there for free; a Max pass only saves time. Read the full value breakdown in the DONT SPLASH game passes guide.

Upgrades only matter if you use the tool. Pebbles benefit from Throwing Range and Pebble Skipping, the flare from Flare Radius, the wind-up toy from Toy Battery and the rescue rope from Rope Reach and Rescue Speed. See how each tool works in the DONT SPLASH items guide.
